Audiorista lets you personalize your app’s visual style using different fonts. Fonts play a key role in defining your brand’s look and feel, and now—with the Custom Fonts extension—you can go beyond the built-in options to truly match your brand identity.

Understanding the fonts page before custom fonts
By default, every Audiorista project includes a Fonts section in the appearance settings. You can access it by My app -> Fonts.
This section shows a list of standard fonts you can select from. These include a variety of system fonts optimized for readability across all devices.
What the custom fonts extension adds
This feature allows you to upload your own font files (for example, your brand’s official typeface) and use them across your Audiorista app.
Match your brand guidelines precisely.
Use licensed or proprietary fonts not available in the standard list.
Create a unique app experience aligned with your company identity.
How to enable and use custom fonts
Step 1: Install the Custom Fonts extension
Go to Extensions in your project dashboard.
Locate Custom Fonts.
Install it
Once installed, a new upload area appears within your Fonts section.
Step 2: Upload your font file
Navigate to Fonts, and now you will see a button Add Font.
Name the font and choose your font file (typically
.ttfor.otfformat).Once uploaded, it will appear in your font list alongside standard options.
💡 Tip: Give your custom font a clear name (e.g., “Satoshi Bold”) so it’s easy to find in the selector.
Previewing and testing custom fonts
Unlike standard fonts, custom fonts can not be displayed in the Preview App.
The preview app doesn’t have your uploaded font file installed, which means the text will appear in a fallback system font while editing.
To see your custom font in action, you need to:
Go to the Distribution tab.
Create a new build of your app.
Once the build is generated, open it on your device — the text will now display in your chosen custom font.
⚠️ Important: This limitation applies to all custom font uploads, regardless of file type.
Managing and replacing fonts
If you wish to update or replace your custom font:
Go back to the Fonts section.
Remove the current custom font from the list.
Upload a new font file.
Rebuild your distribution to apply the new font.
All text elements using that font will automatically switch to the new version once your build is live.
Best practices for custom fonts
To make the most of this feature:
Check licensing: Ensure your font license allows for digital or app embedding.
Maintain readability: Fancy display fonts may look great in titles, but can reduce legibility in long texts.
Test across devices: After building, check how your font renders on both Android and iOS to avoid inconsistencies..
By adding custom fonts, you bring your brand identity directly into your Audiorista experience—creating a more personalized and professional feel for your listeners.
If you’re on a Business or Enterprise plan, try uploading your first custom font today and build a distribution to see it come to life!
