Creating apps requires a valid App Store certificate, and we’ve made this process as simple as possible in Audiorista.
This guide walks you through creating an App Distribution Certificate, which you’ll later upload to our App Store Wizard so we can build and deliver your apps in the cloud directly to your account.
We recommend doing this on a Mac computer (laptop or desktop) for the easiest experience.
If you don’t have access to one, you can contact support directly through the wizard, and we’ll help you complete the process.
- Log on to App Store Connect and access the page Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles. Here is a direct link: https://developer.apple.com/account/resources/certificates/list
- Click the blue plus sign (+)
- Select “Apple Distribution” and click continue
- On your Mac computer, open Keychain Access. Tip: You can use Spotlight to search for Keychain to find it.
- Make sure you have not selected any of your existing keys and the top left on the menu bar. Select the following: KeyChain Access -> Certificate Assistant -> Request a Certificate from a Certificate Authority
- Enter your email address and in the common name give your key a name, eg, my app store key, and select “request” as “Saved to disk”.
- Upload your new signing request file and click continue
- Download your .cer file
- Open Keychain again
- Drag and drop your newly created .cer file to the “Login” & “Certificates”
- Select your certificate and the top left on the menu bar: Select the following: File -> Export Item…
- Export and save it in the Personal Information Exchange (.p12) file format
- Provide a strong password, and you can click the key icon to let Keychain suggest a password.
- Store the password to copy and paste it in the wizard field “passphrase” when uploading the .p12 file
