Layouts are a key part of your app. They control how your content is structured and how users experience it. Think of layouts as flexible content screens in your app with UI building blocks. You choose what your users see, where it appears, and how it’s presented.

What are layouts?
A layout starts as a blank canvas, and you decide what your users see and how it's structured.
You can fill a layout with different display elements, such as
- Banners: perfect for highlighting collections, feeds, or other layouts.
- Carousels showcase titles or collections in a scrollable, interactive way.
NOTE: When you create a new account on Audiorista, you’ll be guided through a setup wizard. Based on your choices, it will automatically generate a set of layouts. If you’re happy with these layouts and their placements in the navigation bars, there’s no need to create new ones — you can simply build on top of what’s already there.
How to create a layout
-
Go to the CMS section in your Audiorista dashboard and click Layouts.
-
Select Create Layout in the top-right corner.
- Give your layout a name and click Submit.
You’ll now see your new layout listed in the layouts section.
How to add display elements
Once a layout is created, you can add display elements to structure your content.
How to add a section:
-
Click Add Section.
-
Select a layout element
-
Click the element to configure its settings—choose the content source, style (square, banner, or tall), and toggle Visible in App.
-
Save your changes.
How to reorder or remove elements
Layouts follow a top-to-bottom structure. To reorder elements:
-
Drag and drop the element higher or lower in the list.
-
Changes reflect immediately in the app and preview app after refreshing, and you can also get a quick preview of your layout on the right side of the dashboard before publishing.
- To delete an element, click the trash icon next to the element you want to remove.
How to delete a layout
To delete a layout you no longer need:
-
Go to the Layouts section and click Edit.
-
Click on the button Delete.
-
Confirm your actions.
⚠️ Deleting a layout does not delete your content; only the screen structure is removed.
How to add layouts to your app
To make a layout accessible to users, you have two options:
Option 1: Add it to your app’s navigation menu.
- Go to CMS → Menus in your dashboard, and select the menu you want to edit (or create a new one).
Click New Draft.
-
Click Add Item.
- In Explore, choose Layout.
- Continue to fix all your preferences for how the layout will appear on the menu (library, tags, others, etc.).
- Next, you’ll be directed to a page where you can customize your layout, adjust header styling, set menu preferences, and more.
- Don't forget to hit Save.
Option 2: Embed it inside another layout using a Browse Banner
-
Go to Layouts on the left of the panel and go to the preferred layout.
-
Click Add Section.
-
Then choose Layout Link Banner.
-
After that, choose your preferred layout and use the Visibility toggle to decide if the layout should be visible in your app right away.
- Don't forget to save changes.
Final tips
Layouts give you full control over how your content is presented in your app. You can easily experiment, reorder elements, or update layouts at any time, where changes appear immediately after refreshing the app.
Remember:
- Use layouts to structure your app’s key screens, like the Home screen.
- Combine layouts with other functions like menus, feeds, and banners for maximum flexibility.
- You can preview your layouts in the dashboard before making them live.
Happy building!
