What is a feed?
Feeds are a great way to display your content in a smooth, scrollable stream, much like social media platforms showcase content.
Step 1: Create a collection
Before setting up a feed, you need a collection to organize your content. You can create:
✅ Manual collections—where you hand-pick each title.
✅ Dynamic collections—where content appears automatically based on tags or filters.

Step 2: Create a feed
Once your collection is ready:
- Go to the CMS section in your Audiorista dashboard.

Select Feeds from the left-hand menu.

Click Create Feed Layout in the top-right corner.
You’ll now set up how your content will appear in your app.
Step 3: Choose your display settings
When creating your feed, you can customize how it looks and feels:

Display Name: The name your users will see.

Collection: Choose which collection supplies the content for this feed.

Artwork (optional): Upload a banner image for your feed, especially if you plan to embed it in a layout.

Display Mode: Choose from three options:
Choosing the right display mode:

| Square | Focuses on Square artwork | Podcast, Music, short-form content |
| Tags | Minimal display showing only tags | Text-heavy or clean layouts |
Step 4: Use filters with tags
You can help users quickly find specific content by enabling filters. These work together with tags you’ve added to your titles.
Example: If your tags include "news" or "interviews," you can set up filters so users can easily view only that type of content in the feed.

Step 5: Save the changes
Your feed is created once you hit Save Changes.
Step 6: Add your feed to your app
Once your feed is created, you have two ways to make it visible to users (add it to your app):
Option 1: Add it as a tab to the navigation menu

Go to the Menus section in your dashboard and then to the Default menu.

Click "New Draft," then click "Add."

Under settings, in the type field, select the feed tab. Then, under feed, choose the feed you prepared earlier.
- Set all your preferences, then click "Publish" or "Save Draft". Drafted menus can be viewed on the preview app, and published menus can be viewed on any version of your production app and by any user who has access to your production apps.
- Your changes can be seen on the Preview app on your phone once you hit publish.
Option 2: Embed it in a layout using a banner

Go to the layouts section under CMS.

Select your desired layout or create a new one.

Let's take, for example, the home layout. Click on "+add section."

Choose Feed Banner from the types.

Link it to your feed, switch on 'Visible in App,' and hit Save.

After you set it up, don’t forget to hit Save Changes so it shows up in your app.
When you open your preview app, your feed will now appear as part of your layout or navigation.
Step 7: How to delete a feed?(optional)
If you no longer need a feed, you can delete it. But first, remove the feed tab from your menu to avoid showing users an empty screen.
To delete a feed:

Find the feed you want to delete.

Click the Edit button next to the Feed.

Click Delete, then confirm you really want to delete the feed.
⚠️ Note: Deleting a feed only removes the display layout. It does not delete the underlying collections or titles.
