What are Groups?
Groups let you manage multiple members in bulk instead of configuring each user individually. Any property you assign to a group (permissions, tags, entitlements, or remote tracks) is automatically applied to all members of that group. This makes it easier to manage teams, segment audiences, or grant access to specific content and features.
You can find Groups in your Audiorista Dashboard under: Engagement > Groups
This is where you’ll be able to create new groups, edit existing ones, and manage members in bulk.
How to create a Group
In your Audiorista Dashboard, go to Engagement > Groups.
Click Create.
-
Fill in the fields:
Name – Choose a clear name for your group (e.g., “Beta Testers,” “Business Clients,” “Premium Subscribers”).
Followed Tags – Select from tags like Health, Technology, Career, AI, Inspiring, Business if you want the group to automatically follow certain topics.
Permissions – Define what the group members can access within your app. (Requires permission extension to be installed)
Remote Tracks – Assign single-sale titles
Entitlement – Add RevenueCat entitlements (such as subscription levels or premium access). You can also set the Entitlement Duration.
Click Submit to create the group.
Inviting members to a Group
Open your group from Engagement > Groups.
Click Invite Members.
Enter one email address per line (for bulk adds, we recommend no more than 10–20 at a time to avoid timeouts).
-
(Optional) Select Send password-reset emails to created users:
If unchecked, you’ll need to notify users manually, and they’ll perform a password reset inside the app.
End-user flow
With password-reset email:
User clicks the link in the email → creates a password → logs into your app.Without password-reset email:
User opens the app → resets password manually → logs in.
⚠️ Important: For password-reset emails to work correctly:
Configure Continue URL in:
Dashboard > Extensions > Manage > Firebase.Whitelist your domain in Firebase Console > Authentication > Settings > Authorized domains.
Customizing password-reset emails
By default, Firebase password-reset emails are unbranded. You have two options:
Simple: Customize directly in Firebase Console > Authentication > Templates > Password reset.
Advanced: Use Mailgun integration in the Audiorista Dashboard to create branded templates with dynamic variables (like
{{url}}). This allows separate templates for member invitations vs. regular resets.
Why use Groups?
Efficiency: Manage permissions, content access, and entitlements at scale.
Flexibility: Quickly create targeted cohorts (e.g., VIP listeners, business clients, internal testers).
Consistency: Ensure all group members share the same access and settings.
