Why use the Mux extension?
The Mux extension allows you to:
- Upload videos directly from your dashboard
- Stream content through your app without any additional setup
- Manage your video library with the same tools you already use for audio and text content
Without this integration, video uploads and playback won’t be available in your app.
Where to install the mux extension
You can access the Mux extension from the Extensions Section. Navigate to the Extensions tab in your dashboard. Find "Mux" in the list and click Install.
How to sign up at Mux.com
To use this feature, you’ll need a free or paid account with Mux at mux.com, sign up, and verify your email.
How to find your API keys
Once you're logged in to Mux:
- Head to Settings > API Access Tokens
- Click Generate new token
- Fill in the needed details and click Generate Token.
- Copy the Access Token and Secret Key
How to connect your keys to the extension
Back in your dashboard:
- Open the Mux Extension and click Install.
- Paste in your Access Token and Secret Key. Click Save & Connect.
- Your app is now connected to Mux, and video upload functionality is enabled. You can double-check this by going to Extensions > Manage — it should look like this:
How to upload videos via the titles section
Once connected, uploading videos is easy:
- Go to the Titles section of your dashboard
- Click New Title or edit an existing one
- Under Media Type, choose Video
- Upload your file
That’s it! Your video will be processed and ready for streaming inside your app.
