Overview
Playlists allow you to group your Tracks into meaningful sets. Audiorista Playlists work just as the ones you're probably familiar with from music apps. Once created, Playlists can be featured in your apps or embedded using the web-player. You can also share links to them on social media.
Creating Playlists
Creating a Playlist is simple. Navigate to the list of Playlists by clicking the corresponding item in the Dashboard's side menu. Once there, click on the Create playlist button. In the resulting popup, you are asked to choose the Playlist's name and, more crucially, its type. Note that a Playlist's type can not be changed after creation. ➝ Go there now
Manual Playlists
Manual Playlists work in the traditional way, where you have to add each Track individually in the Configuration section of the edit-screen. To search for Tracks, simply start typing their name in the searchbar.
Dynamic Playlists
Dynamic Playlists work by automatically including all Tracks that match the tags you set in the Configuration section. Note that only Tracks that match all the tags are included. Example:
- Track 1: tag A
- Track 2: tag B
- Track 3: tag A, tag B
A dynamic Playlist configured with tag A will include Tracks 1 and 3, while one configured with tags A and B will only include Track 3. Additionally, you can select a sorting for dynamic Playlists.
Metadata
Click on any Playlist you'd like to edit on the Playlist list screen to reach the edit-screen. Here, you can change the Playlist's metadata, view key data and perform relevant actions. As always, click on the Save changes button at the bottom to save your changes once you're satisfied.
Property | Description | Specification |

Sorting | The attribute to sort the Playlist by | Only on dynamic Playlists |
Artwork
Playlists have a more limited set of artwork than Tracks, as they are primarily used in the Browse-tab of the apps. On the other hand, many apps will have this as their home screen, so the impact of the images you choose will still be great.

Embedding
In terms of embedding a Track using our web-player, there are three things you can do on the edit-screen:
Copy embed-code
This is a shortcut for generating the default embed-code for the Playlist and copying it to your clipboard. Note that you still need to embed our Javascript-snippet on your site for the embed-code to work (see the [Widget guide](/guides/widget)).
Customize embed-code
This opens a dialog that allows to you to modify the embed-code before copying it. Note that we strongly recommend that you use Presets instead of customzing each individual embed, as this gives you more flexibility.
Default preset
This allows you to choose the preset that is used when using the Copy embed-code shortcut. It is a convenience for when you have multiple Presets that should be selectively used with certain sets of content.
