Overview
App-layouts allow you to customize screens in your Audiorista apps, specifically the Layout-tabs.
Multiple Layouts
Typically, most apps will only have a single Layout-tab. Clicking on the App layout item in the Dashboard will take you directly to the configuration for this tab. However, it is possible to configure multiple tabs in the Configuration step or your [app setup](/guides/apps#app-setup). These additional Layouts will then show up in the Dashboard's side-menu.
Creating Layout-items
Each row in the screenshot at the top corresponds to a Layout-item. Each Layout-item is essentially a Playlist configured to look a certain way.
To create a new Layout-item, simply select the Playlist you want to feature from the dropdown at the bottom and click the Create button. A new Layout-item will be added at the bottom and can now be edited. Newly created Layout-items are invisible in your apps until you choose to make them visible.
Editing
Each Layout-item has a small number of customizable properties that you can use to determine how it should be displayed in your apps.
Property | Description | Specification |
Playlist | Which Playlist to display
Limit | Maximum number of Tracks to show for this Playlist | Only needed for "carousel" display modes |
Required permissions | Permissions that are required for a customer to see this Layout-item | Only if this feature is enabled |
Actions: Visibility | Whether or not to display this Layout-item in the apps
Actions: Display mode | Choose between one of 4 ways to display the Layout-item | See screenshot below |
Actions: Delete | Deletes the Layout-item immediately |
The display-modes from left to right:
- Track Thumbnail Carousel
- Playlist Banner
- Playlist Carousel - Layout-items with this display-mode will always be added to the carousel at the top, regardless of their ordering
- Track Banner Carousel
Sorting
Layout-items can be re-ordered by dragging the handles to the left of each row. The new sorting will be immediately reflected in the apps.
